On March 18, 2017, my family and I took a trip to Florida for my daughter's first triathlon. Due to unseasonably cold weather, the triathlon was postponed until April. Luckily, we were able to find another event to participate in. My daughter ran the Savage Jr. course while I completed the adult version. We both received a Savage race finisher medal and the following video show how I placed it in a 3-level Artisan frame.
For the inner and outer frame mouldings, I used 1 1-4" distressed white with a metallic silver border. The inner and outer mouldings are separated and bridged with a 1" white float frame. I also used photo editing software to capture the shape of the medal and ribbon and used it to cut the window for them. With the third outer moulding, I placed the acrylic window between it and the float moulding so that the inner moulding and medal all appear under the window. This adds and extra level of elegance to the Artisan design. In addition, I created two event plates to list the place and date, since they were not displayed on the medal and/or ribbon.
